The Kansas City Chiefs would move their record to 5-0 this weekend after beating the Houston Texans in a tough game. Despite the efforts of the Texans to try to move up to the number one spot in the AFC South, the Chiefs would run right by them in a 42-34 win. This loss would put the Texans at the number spot in the AFC South, and the Chiefs would remain at the top of the NFL rankings. One of the reasons why not one team has been able to take the Chiefs down is their extremely skillful offense. The Chiefs are number two in the NFL for average yards a game (414.2), just five yards behind the 3-2 Patriots. Adding to that, Kareem Hunt is leading the NFL in rushing yards, Alex Smith is third in passing yards, and Travis Kelce along with Tyreek Hill have just over 700 receiving yards between them. The dominance doesn’t stop at the offense though. Justin Houston has eighteen total sacks on the season, which is 4th in the NFL, and Terrance Mitchell has 24 tackles along with 2 interceptions. Next week the Chiefs will take on the 3-2 Pittsburgh Steelers who are known for their tough defense. The Chiefs are beating the Steelers in every way in the statistics book so the Chiefs will be be able to extend their winning streak to 6-0.
